FOCUS forum sheds light on the importance of regionalism

Over the next 25 years Pender, New Hanover and Brunswick counties are projected to gain over 300,000 new citizens. With this increase, a shared vision of how to accommodate this is expected. On May 22, FOCUS, along with Renaissance Planning Group shared the ways for the region to come together and create a regional vision of the future.

Over 200 local community leaders, including public officials were in attendance that morning. The morning kicked off with opening speeches from Wilmington Mayor, Bill Saffo and Leland Mayor, Brenda Bozeman. Both spoke on the significance of all three counties working together to prepare for the influx of residents who will move to the region.

Thank you to everyone to took part in helping shape the future of our beautiful region.
