NC DOT wants public comments

The North Carolina Department of Transportation wants to hear the public’s feedback on their transportation needs. With the region population continuously developing, traffic in the area will only increase to more of a headache.

The DOT will be hosting an open house in Brunswick, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender and Sampson counties. The meeting will be held Feb. 10th, at the Traffic Services Conference Room.

NC DOT Open House

These open forums are part of the new “Strategic transportation investments (STI)” law, which permits for existing revenues to fund more projects that can help improve the state’s infrastructure.

Residents are being asked to bring their suggestions for projects that they believe will help improve their area. The public comment period started Jan. 14 and ends Feb. 12.

If a resident cannot attend the open house they can submit their comments via email to [email protected] or they can send them via post mail to STI, 5504 Barbados Blvd., Castle Hayne, NC, 28429
